I guess my point is that bdsm-erotica and so-called (shudder) “mommy porn” isn’t new. Seriously, women have been writing and reading these kinds of steamy books for years and years and years. It just seems like a new thing because it’s more mainstream and because EL James knew how to use one huge segment of readers (Twilight-lovin’ moms) to her advantage by writing and tailoring a slightly kinky book to their preferences. That’s it.

So if you loved 50 Shades of Grey, get out there and read some more books in the genre. Places like Siren, Ellora’s Cave, Samhain and Loose-Id have what you want. Take a peek. Find something naughty to spice up your weekend. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
